Privacy Policy

About This Policy
Best Dentist Da Nang operates a dental clinic comparison directory for visitors researching dental care in Da Nang, Vietnam. Many of our visitors are Australian residents planning dental treatment abroad. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. Because our directory serves an international audience while listing Vietnamese businesses, we follow the principles of Vietnam's Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection (in force since July 2023) alongside internationally recognised privacy standards.
What We Collect and Why
We do not require you to create an account or log in. The data we handle falls into two categories. First, analytics data: when you browse the directory, Google Analytics 4 records anonymised information such as pages viewed, time on site, and the country you are visiting from. GA4 Consent Mode v2 is enabled, meaning analytics tracking respects your cookie consent choice before collecting any data. Second, contact form submissions: if you send us a message through the contact page, we receive your name, email address, and message text. This information is transmitted via Brevo (our email delivery service) to our inbox. We use it solely to reply to your enquiry.
How Enquiry Data Flows
When an Australian patient submits an enquiry about a Da Nang clinic through our contact form, the data follows this path: your browser sends the form to our server, our server passes it to Brevo's transactional email API for delivery, and we receive the email in our inbox. If you click a WhatsApp button on a clinic page, your device opens WhatsApp directly with the clinic's number. We do not see, store, or process any messages you exchange with clinics via WhatsApp. The clinic handles all subsequent communication.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We set two types of cookies. GA4 analytics cookies track anonymised browsing patterns after you grant consent. A small localStorage entry remembers your preferred display currency (AUD, USD, or VND) so the site does not reset your choice on each visit. We do not set advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any cookies that identify you personally. You can block all cookies through your browser settings. The directory will continue to function, though your currency preference will not persist between sessions.
Third Parties That Receive Data
Google LLC (Analytics 4): anonymised browsing data, processed under Google's data processing terms. Brevo (Sendinblue): your name and email when you submit the contact form, used only for email delivery. Vercel Inc.: hosts the website and processes HTTP requests, which may include your IP address in server logs retained for up to 30 days. No other third party receives your personal data through our directory. Clinic information displayed on the site is sourced from publicly available data including clinic websites and Google Maps listings.
Cross-Border Data Transfers
Our servers are hosted by Vercel, with infrastructure distributed globally. Analytics data is processed by Google in the United States. Contact form data passes through Brevo's European servers. Under Decree 13/2023/ND-CP, cross-border transfers of personal data from Vietnam require that the data controller assess the impact on data subjects. Because we collect minimal personal data (only when you voluntarily submit a contact form) and do not process sensitive health information, we have determined that the transfer risk is low. Australian visitors are additionally protected under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 regarding how their data is handled overseas.
Data Retention Periods
Contact form submissions are kept in our email inbox until your enquiry is resolved, then deleted within 90 days. GA4 analytics data is retained for 14 months (our configured retention period, shorter than the Google default). Vercel server logs containing IP addresses are purged automatically after 30 days. Currency preference data stored in your browser's localStorage remains until you clear your browser data.
Your Rights Under Applicable Law
Regardless of where you are located, you may contact us to request access to any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of your data. Under Decree 13/2023/ND-CP, Vietnamese data subjects have the right to withdraw consent, request restriction of processing, and lodge complaints with the Ministry of Public Security. Australian residents may also raise concerns with the relevant Australian privacy authority. We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days.
Updates to This Policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page and post the revised text here. We do not send email notifications for policy changes because we do not maintain a mailing list. If a change materially affects how we handle personal data, we will note the change prominently on this page for at least 60 days. Your continued use of the directory after a revision means you accept the updated terms.
